This is a copy of a report I wrote.  The problem was a ring on an electrometer's output when the input was switched.  The switching was done with reed relays.  Ultimately, the coils in these relays and the way the relay drivers were protected were the problem.  The troubleshooting process is documented in this memo.  A fix is also documented.  Finally, another anomaly is pointed out for further study.
